1.The Main Content of the Project
Kendyr is a kind of perennial root herbaceous wild vegetable growing in alkaline and desert land. Yuli County is the main production place of kendyr. According to aerial survey, there is 1.2 million mu of kendyr inside the county, sharing 73% of that in Bayangol Mongol Autonomous Prefecture, and it is the main vegetation distributing in the alluvial plain of the both river basin. Through many years of study and proof, the value of kendyr is recognized by the personage both at home and abroad. It is used to make health-care productwith the function of cure and bodybuilding, so it has higher medical and textile value. Presently, the market for kendyr product is well, but its raw material only depends on the wild kendyr, which is far from satisfying the demand of the market. So, It is essential to plant kendyr manually. The kendyr has a strong reproduction power so that people can be able to use the method of seeding, cutting root and transplanting etc to conduct manual planting. In order to coordinate with the harnessing of the Talimu River and the work of "returning land form farming to forestry (grass) " in both river basin, Yuli county is to build the kendyr base with 20 thousand mu of area manually in the earlier stage, and the base will be developed to 5.1 million mu in the following 5-10 years.
2. The General Investment at the First Stage is 8 million Yuan, in which 4 million Yuan is from our side, and 4 million Yuan is from the other side. The main content of the construction is: whole water conservancy, land leveling and farming management etc.
3.The Output of the Main Product.
To plant 20 thousand mu of kendyr, it can produce 2000 ton of kendyr dry stocks and 500 ton of stock leaves.
4.The Investment for Planting Kendyr:
At the first year, the main task is plant, after three year the Kendyr can be reaped. In the following years, it only need for managing. According to estimation, the pure income per mu can reached about 500 Yuan in current purchasing price. Return period of the investment is 6 years. Rate of the investment profit is 30%.
5.Progress of the Project at the Earlier Stage: the experiment of manual planting of kendyr has been successful. The study on the key technology of kendyr has obtained the support from the Science Commission of the Autonomous Region.
